7 month picture

I know I'm late putting this up but it was earlier this month....

I did have a doctors appointment this last week as now I go every 2 weeks... Its getting closer. I went ahead and scheduled the c-section for Feb 2nd..... Yes Ground Hogs Day.... Its not like there was muc hof an option and I knew it. My choice was Monday or Wednsday a week to a week and a half before my due date. Well Andrew's birthday is on Feb 4 th and I just couldn't do that to him. Both need their own date and not the same. Although it would be sort of cool, in the long run nope. So unless he decided he wants to come out sooner than later ther you have it.....

Baby Names.....

I couldn't resist putting this one in here....as so far we both like Ian.
Most of Dennis's suggestions the child would need to be good at boxing to get through school with those names..
His suggested rejected names have included:
Nigel
Wintrop
Wolfgang
and lets not forget Charlamagne

As I was trying to find something else I found this on what not to name your baby.....guess I can add these to the no pile .....http://blogs.static.mentalfloss.com/blogs/archives/20573.html

7 Month Appointment

All is well. Took the Glucose Tolerance test on Friday. Can't say I like it and was a little nervous over the results. Having a big baby and other factors made me wonder if I was going to have a problem with that but NO. All is well there , but knowing me... I'll still have a big baby. Baby's Heartbeat was 142. Appearently he likes to move during car rides and when I'm relaxing watching TV. Me sitting still with noise going on seems to be his thing , nosey little thing already. Andrew felt the baby move and thought it was great! He kept poking my belly to make him move more and got mad if he didn't.

6 month Check Up

So Doctors appointment today went well. Blood pressure and all of that was fine. Just starting to gain weight....or is it the heavy sweater I was wearing?? Don't know but at least its going up and not down. Baby's heart rate was around 154 , I guess like the last time. As far as I know, I think we are sticking with Ian..... Not sure the middle name yet. I have ideas but we will see.

Ultrasound Time

This one Didn't Keep Us Guessing......... Its a BOY!!!
The Heart rate was 141 and weigh 14 oz. He's measuring more true to the original due date of 21 weeks. ( instead of 20weeks) Do notice a trend?!? This one loves to suck his thumb! Taking after me I suppose.

4 Month appointment

Andrew came with me this time and I figured he was not impressed with hearing the heartbeat of the baby. "It sounds like a storm" he said. The baby's heartbeat was147....
All is well but still have no weight gain. In fact its still going backwards. Oh well, eventually it will all equal out and then some. Had to have more blood taken. Decided to do the 2nd trimester test mostly b/c they lost the test results to the 1st Trimester screening.. Yeah just my luck. Now is wait to the next ultrasound and maybe the sex of the kid?!?! Now that's its been a few months I'm thinking its a boy again. Could be wrong, in fact I have no motherly instict for that

First Trimester Screening

So today I went to Millard Fillmore Hospital and had the genetic testing done. It was a lot of fun as it was the longest I think I've been in an ultrasound.... It was quite wild to see the baby opening and closing its mouth and sucking on its hand and thumb. The first picture is my favorite as you can see the little fingers on the hands likes its playing the sax the ultrasound tech said and it dos if you look closely. Below the baby has its hand to its mouth like it was doing most of the time I was there.

The heart beat was good and strong and 158 bpm. So every thing is going well. They did the measurement for the screening and took blood and hopefully all will tell me everything is fine.

Another Appointment

This one heard the baby's heartbeat... it was nice to hear as sometimes I think I over due it and think about it later. Everything is good but they are making the due date 2/11/2009 instead as that is what the ultrasound is showing and its more than a week off. So instead of being 13 weeks,I'm now only 12...boo! But they asked if I wanted to do some 1st trimester screening that involves another ultrasound and I'm liking that so I'm all for it. They didn't have this when I was pregnant with Andrew so I know its new. It was only in the 2nd trimester any genetic screening was available.

Just letting you know I'm not changing the sides to show this change.....

Also with having a c-section before, if I choose one again (which is most likely) they like to do it a week earlier than the due date and that puts it on Andrew's birthday...again if I so choose that date as seeing Andrew might not want to share. Since Andrew's due date was Feb 1 also and he was late I'm leaving it as is just things that normally would happen at certain times might be a little later.

First Ultrasound!

Here I am at almost 11 weeks and the baby is measuring 9wks 5 days. Am I surprised??? No not really as I look back at the calendar and know that it wouldn't be possible. Besides it makes the day I think this all happened more feasable. Anyway the baby's heart beat was on the high end 176-190 bpm. So if I had to guess a sex for this kid it would be a girl. We will see in February.... Supposely that method doesn't work to tell you but its better than the other methods that I've heard and know didn't work. So first picture is baby crown to rump.
This one shows all of babies arms/legs (hence the arrows)
And another one crown to rump! Of course this kid was wildly moving so who knows if its that "behind"

The Second Appointment

Was JUNE 30th (9 weeks pregnant):

I stuck with the same place and the midwife was SO MUCH more compationate! She gave me a sheet to get the ultrasound done so I can see that everything is going well... Its hard not to compare as by this point I had 2 ultrasounds done on Andrew..... But I'm glad they at least gave me that option and I guess I can stick it out with them.

The First Appointment

Was June 13th (friday):

The Midwife that saw me was awful and had a rotten bedside manner. You ONLY got one ultrasound and its at 16 weeks to make sure everything is okay anf that's it. I just have concerns as my "history" on this is not great. I already had one ultrasound with Andrew by this time and he was the first, its not like the second time went smoothly since there's no second child. I thought about switching doctors but my busy school schedule pretty much didn't have time for wiggle room to switch.
I got a goody bag of stuff including prenatal vitamins and prescription for some and instructions etc....

So the Facts....

So the fact is that I was last and its not a big deal I picked up a pregnancy test thinking there's no way but somehow seeing that I'm not convinces the body to do what it has to do... Except it didn't it was Positive!!! That was JUNE 8th!

Well the funny part is that the LMP was the same as it was with Andrew.....and I found out about him coming May 29th... Oops I guess I dropped the ball on this.

The Start.....

Its not like I've told many people and most importantly the major ones don't know that I am pregnant but since they didn't have this technology when Andrew was around I really wanted to do it if I ever had another child..... So I'm blogging it even though as of now its on the down low as I still want to document all of this baby goodness without people knowing...
